The arbitration regulations are displayed below.
ARBITRATION
Level C: competitors who have not previously competed in grooming exams
Level B: anyone who has competed in a maximum of 3 grooming competitions must attach at least one certificate from any grooming competition.
Level A: anyone who has competed in more than 3 grooming competitions must attach certificates (Level B in the Asian system or 4 certificates from any other competition)
Dummy Dog Class: Here, those with little experience in grooming but still want to try the excitement of a competition will compete exclusively on dolls (Dog model), and the competition time is 3 hours.
Level C, B, and A will be divided into 4 classes: Poodle, Pure Breed Scissoring, Handstripping, and Free Style
Poodle Class: All sizes of Poodles. Only the show trim is allowed. The examination time is 120 minutes. Standard Poodle examination time is 150 minutes. Those who want to fix the Top Knot have an additional 15 minutes, but this must be announced before the exam.
Pure Breed Scissoring Class: Bichon Frise, Bedlington Terrier, Kerry Blue Terrier, only the show trim. Examination time is 120 minutes.
Free Style Class: Shih Tzu, Pekingese, Pomeranian, Maltese, Yorkshire Terrier, Poodle, Bichon Frise, and their mixed breeds can be groomed in any way as long as it is well finished. Time for examination is 120 min.
Handstripping Class: Miniature Schnauzer, Standard Schnauzer, Giant Schnauzer, Airedale Terrier, Welsh Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, West Highland White Terrier, Scottish Terrier, and Dachshund. Time for examination is 120 min. Giant Schnauzer and Airedale Terrier 150 min.
In the Free Style Class, all non-show haircuts are allowed. For example: Poodle in Teddy Bear trim, Bichon in Teddy Bear trim, Pomeranian in Boo trim.
For Poodle Class and Pure Breed Scissoring Class, all shears are allowed, but only straight and curved shears will receive bonus points.
In the Free Style Class, all types of shears are allowed. It is also possible to use clippers for 50% of the dog’s body. If the dog is exclusively groomed using shears, the competitor will receive bonus points. Coloring the dogs does not bring bonus points.
The dogs must have a minimum of 3 months of unshaved hair or a minimum of 4 cm. Dogs that do not meet this requirement will be disqualified, with the exception of the Handstripping Class. The changes resulting from the dog’s grooming must be very visible!!!
